After losing the Test series 0-2 against Bangladesh, former Pakistani players and experts are blaming both the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and the players for the defeat. This embarrassing loss has exposed several flaws in the Pakistan team. Captain Shan Masood had mentioned in a press conference during the series that for the past year and a half, their players have neither played any Test matches nor any first-class cricket. Pakistan is set to play a three-match Test series against England soon, yet the PCB is still not learning from its mistakes. In this context, former Pakistani cricketer Yasir Arafat has criticised the Pakistan Cricket Board.
Pakistan is scheduled to host England for a three-Test series starting from 7th October. However, instead of prioritising first-class cricket, the board has organised a one-day tournament for the players. Reacting to these decisions, Yasir Arafat described the PCB as a “circus” and the people running it as “clowns.”
Yasir Arafat stated on YouTube, “Even now, you can see your series is ending, and so many grey areas have been highlighted—problems with fitness, technical issues, and small things related to pitches and grounds. Today, I heard that Jason Gillespie and the high performer are returning to Australia, and after that, you’re organising a one-day tournament. I just don’t understand this. When I see such decisions, sometimes the Pakistan Cricket Board seems like a circus to me. The people working in it are like clowns, and their decisions are jokes. You have an important Test series coming up against England, and you’re making players participate in a one-day tournament.”

He further added, “On one hand, Shan Masood said in a press conference that the players haven’t played Test or first-class cricket for the last one and a half years, and now you’re preparing for a major series against England by making them play one-day matches. To me, this feels like a circus, and the people involved in it seem like clowns, and their decisions feel like jokes.”
