Virat Kohli Didn’t Travel to Australia with Team India, Takes a Major Step after ‘Serious Setback’

Indian cricket legend Virat Kohli has surprised everyone with his recent move. Kohli has already reached Australia ahead of the Indian team, becoming the first Indian player to arrive there. According to media reports, Virat Kohli landed in Perth on Sunday evening and is set to begin preparations for the upcoming Test series, which starts on November 22. The first Test match will be played in Perth.

Virat Arrives Before the Team

Reports indicate that Virat Kohli departed for Australia separately from the Indian team. The Indian team is traveling to Australia in two batches, but Kohli left ahead of them. On Saturday night, Virat was seen at Mumbai airport with his wife, Anushka Sharma, and their two children, indicating that he left for Australia on Saturday itself.

A Deep Wound for Virat

Kohli has arrived in Australia with a deep wound—not a physical one, but one affecting his career. The star batter has been struggling with poor form for a while. In his last five Test matches, Kohli managed to score just one half-century, and in the previous Test series, India suffered a 0-3 defeat at home against New Zealand. This has raised questions about his performance. Former Australian captain Ricky Ponting even commented that if any other player had shown such form, they would not remain in the team. With these criticisms weighing on him, Kohli is now in Australia with the sole aim of silencing his critics and leading Team India to victory.

Virat Kohli has an impressive record on Australian soil. He has scored 8 centuries there, boasting a batting average of 47.48, and has accumulated 2,042 runs in 25 matches. Kohli’s fans are hopeful that he will once again showcase his brilliance, scoring runs and helping India secure victory in Australia.
