BCCI has provided a few grounds to the Afghanistan Cricket Team to host home games and practice their skills. New Zealand is set to face India in a Test Series and this one-off Test against Afghanistan will allow them to get acclimatized with the conditions.

In T20s the pitch at the stadium has produced a lot of runs. However, in Test cricket, the venue is expected to get harder to bat on as the time passes. On 4th and 5th day of the Test, the spinners can come create trouble for batters. There won’t be much help for the pacers.
