In August 2018, Amelia Kerr received a central contract from New Zealand Cricket after tours of Ireland and England. She was named in New Zealand’s squad for the 2018 ICC Women’s World Twenty20 in October and was highlighted as a player to watch. In March 2019, she won the ANZ International Women’s ODI Player of the Year award. She was also selected for the 2020 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in Australia and the 2022 Women’s Cricket World Cup in New Zealand.
