As expected, Australia dominated Pakistan in the third T20 match, completing a clean sweep of the series. Earlier, Pakistan had won the ODI series, but they struggled to make an impact in the T20 International series. With this victory, Australia shattered a significant record previously held by New Zealand. The Australian team has been consistently defeating Pakistan in this format.

Australia Defeats Pakistan by 7 Wickets

In the three-match T20 International series, Australia defeated Pakistan by 7 wickets. This marks Australia’s seventh consecutive T20I victory against Pakistan, a feat no other team has achieved. From 2023 to 2024, New Zealand had beaten Pakistan six times in a row. However, since 2019, Australia has remained unbeaten against Pakistan in this format, sealing a comprehensive clean sweep in this series as well.

Sri Lanka and England Also Achieved Consecutive Wins

Sri Lanka and England had previously won five consecutive T20I matches against Pakistan. From 2019 to 2022, Sri Lanka defeated Pakistan in five matches. Similarly, England managed the same streak twice — from 2022 to 2024 and earlier from 2012 to 2015. Now, Australia holds the record for the most consecutive wins against Pakistan in T20 Internationals.

A Comfortable Win for Australia

In this match, with Mohammad Rizwan absent, Pakistan was led by Agha Salman. Batting first, Pakistan failed to utilize their full 20 overs, being bowled out for just 117 runs in 18.1 overs. At one point, it seemed like Pakistan might post a competitive total, but they faltered. Chasing the target, Australia made quick work of the run chase, scoring 118/3 in just 11.2 overs to win the match by 7 wickets.
