India is seen as one of the favourite teams to win the tournament this time, as they aim to win their first-ever Women’s T20 World Cup. Besides facing strong teams like England, Australia, and the West Indies, India will need to overcome these challenges to achieve this goal.

The opening match of the tournament was between Bangladesh and the new team, Scotland. There are 10 teams in total, divided into Group A and Group B, competing in the 9th Women’s T20 World Cup. Over 18 days, 23 matches will be played, and the final will take place on 20th October, when we will have the new T20 World Champion.

England won the first-ever Women’s T20 World Cup in 2009, while Australia has won the most titles in 2010, 2012, 2014, 2018, 2020, and 2023. The West Indies won in 2016. India’s best performance came in 2020, when they reached the final but lost to Australia by 85 runs.
