The players have submitted their retention lists for IPL 2025. Franchises have spent lavishly from their budget of ₹120 crore to retain their core groups. Now, all eyes are on the mega auction scheduled to take place at the end of November. Punjab Kings will enter the auction with the highest remaining purse, while Rajasthan Royals will have the lowest amount available.
Punjab Kings’ Purse Still Hefty
Before the mega auction, all ten teams submitted their lists of retained players to the BCCI. Punjab Kings retained only two players, releasing star players like Arshdeep Singh. The team management retained Shashank Singh for ₹5.5 crore and Prabhsimran Singh for ₹4 crore, spending a total of ₹9.5 crore. They now have ₹110.5 crore left in their purse and also hold four Right to Match (RTM) cards.
