Second Auction Outside India
This will be the second time that the IPL auction is held outside India. The base price for players this year starts at ₹30 lakh, which is ₹10 lakh more than last time. Other base prices are set at ₹40 lakh, ₹50 lakh, ₹75 lakh, ₹1 crore, ₹1.25 crore, ₹1.50 crore, and ₹2 crore. A total of 79 sets have been prepared for this auction. The auction will begin with two marquee player sets, each containing six players, including last season’s captains KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant, and Shreyas Iyer.
