The last quarterfinal match of the tournament was played in Bengaluru between Delhi and Uttar Pradesh. Delhi emerged victorious in this match, securing their place in the semifinals. However, the game witnessed an unexpected clash between two players, leading to a heated argument. The on-field umpires had to intervene to diffuse the situation. A video of the incident has since gone viral on social media.

Clash Between Two Indian Players During Live Match

This incident occurred during Delhi’s innings. Uttar Pradesh’s Nitish Rana was bowling, while Delhi’s captain Ayush Badoni was at the crease. After playing a shot and taking a run, Badoni reached the non-striker’s end, where the altercation began. The viral video shows that Nitish Rana initiated the argument, and Ayush Badoni responded strongly. As tensions escalated, the umpires stepped in to calm things down.

Interestingly, Ayush Badoni and Nitish Rana are former teammates. Rana previously played for Delhi and even captained the team. However, in 2023, he switched to play for Uttar Pradesh. This isn’t the first time Rana has had a spat with a former teammate. During IPL 2023, he clashed with Hrithik Shokeen of the Mumbai Indians, who also plays domestic cricket for Delhi.

In the match, Uttar Pradesh won the toss and opted to bowl first. Delhi put up an impressive 193/9 in their 20 overs, with Anuj Rawat scoring an unbeaten 73 off 33 balls, including 7 fours and 5 sixes. Priyansh Arya contributed 44 runs, and Yash Dhull added 42.

Chasing 194, Uttar Pradesh fell short, getting bowled out for 174 in 19.5 overs. Nitish Rana managed only 2 runs off 3 balls in the chase.
