Jayden Seales Breaks 46-Year-Old Record
Jayden Seales bowled 15.5 overs, including 10 maidens, conceding just 5 runs and taking 4 wickets in Bangladesh’s first innings. His economy rate of 0.31 is the best recorded in men’s Test cricket since 1978. Previously, the record belonged to India’s fast bowler Umesh Yadav, who achieved an economy of 0.42 during a Test against South Africa in 2015. Umesh bowled 21 overs with 16 maidens, conceding 9 runs and taking 3 wickets. However, Seales has now surpassed Yadav’s record.

West Indies Dominate Bangladesh
Seales’ victims in the innings included Litton Das, Taskin Ahmed, Mehidy Hasan, and Nayeem Hasan. He received excellent support from fellow bowlers Shemar Joseph and Kemar Roach, resulting in Bangladesh being bowled out for just 164 runs in their first innings.
