Pakistan was recently thrown out of the T20 World Cup 2024 after the losses against the USA and India in the group stage. Since the ICC Champions Trophy 2017, the Pakistan Cricket Team has failed to win any ICC trophy. In the recent times they have suffered embarassing losses against minnow teams in the ICC tournaments. 1. USA vs Pakistan (USA Won in Super Over, T20 World Cup 2024)
USA and Pakistan faced each other in the league stage of ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024. Pakistan batted first in the match to score 159/7. In reply, the USA managed to equal the score while chasing. This led to a super over in which the USA scored 18 and Pakistan could only manage 13 in the reply. This is the most embarassing defeat for Pakistan as no one thought that they would lose against an associate nation like the USA in an ICC tournament.
2. Zimbabwe vs Pakistan (Zimbabwe Won by 1 Run, T20 World Cup 2022)
Zimbabwe and Pakistan faced each other in the group stage of T20 World Cup 2022 and the match turned out to be a thriller. Instead of a landslide victory the Pakistan Cricket Team lost to Zimbabwe by 1 run. In the match, Zimbabwe scored 130/8 while batting first. In reply, Pakistan could only score 129/8.
3. Afghanistan vs Pakistan (Afghanistan Won by 8 Wickets, ICC ODI World Cup 2023)
Afghanistan and Pakistan faced each other in the group stage of ICC ODI World Cup 2023 at the Chepauk Stadium in Chennai. Pakistan was heavy favourite for the match. They put on 282/7, which was chased by the Afghanistan Cricket Team in a very dominating way. Not for moment it seemed that Pakistan would win the match. Afghanistan completely overpowered Pakistan’s bowling and won by 8 wickets with one over to spare.

4. Ireland vs Pakistan (Ireland Won by 3 Wickets, ICC ODI World Cup 2007)
When Ireland and Pakistan clashed in the ICC ODI World Cup 2007, people believed that Pakistan would easily crush Ireland. However, the actual result turned out to be completely opposite. Ireland shocked the cricket world by registering a victory by 3 wickets. In a game shortened by rain, Pakistan scored 132/10, which was chased by Ireland in 41.4 overs.
5. Bangladesh vs Pakistan (Bangladesh Won by 62 Runs, ICC ODI World Cup 1999)
Bangladesh showed for the first time in 1999 ICC ODI World Cup that it is ready to compete against the best. Pakistan was defeated in a comprehensive manner by Bangladesh. It was a total victory for Bangladesh in all three departments of the game. Bangladesh batted first and scored 223/9. In reply, Pakistan was bundled out for 161 runs.
