India is going to play a warm-up match before the T20 World Cup 2024 game against Ireland on 5 June 2024. It was assumed that India would miss the warm-up games due to the ongoing edition of IPL. However, ICC has confirmed that the last warm-up match before the T20 World Cup is going to feature the clash between India and Bangladesh on 1 June 2024.
This gives India an opportunity to assess the conditions before their World Cup campaign begins. Team India is set to face the arch-rivals Pakistan on 9 June 2024 at the newly constructed cricket stadium in New York. Tickets for that match are already sold out. Till now, the schedule for only the league stage of the T20 World Cup 2024 has been announced. The rest of the schedule is expected to be announced soon.
