Ganguly stated that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has allocated 35 minutes for the opening ceremony, which needs to be conducted within the given time, as is the tradition every year.
Ajinkya Rahane to Lead KKR, Patidar to Captain RCB
Ajinkya Rahane will captain KKR this season, while Rajat Patidar will lead RCB. KKR clinched the IPL title last season by defeating Sunrisers Hyderabad in the final. Rahane will aim to defend the title, whereas Patidar has the opportunity to achieve what no previous RCB captain has—winning the IPL. RCB has never won an IPL title, and Patidar will be eager to change that.
