The first match of the five-match Test series between India and Australia is being played in Perth. India is currently in a strong position in this match. After winning the toss, Captain Jasprit Bumrah decided to bat first. Batting first, India was all out for just 150 runs. However, India made a brilliant comeback with the ball, dismissing Australia for just 104 runs, and gained a lead of 46 runs in the match. By the end of the second day’s play, India had scored 172 runs without losing any wickets, giving them a lead of 218 runs. Meanwhile, there is some exciting news for Indian fans.

Big News for Team India

There is still some time left for the Test match in Perth to conclude. During this time, Team India’s captain Rohit Sharma is on his way to Australia. Rohit’s wife recently gave birth to a son, which is why Rohit couldn’t travel to Australia for the first match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

In his absence, Jasprit Bumrah has been leading the team. Rohit left for Australia on Saturday night, and he will join Team India in the middle of the Perth Test. His arrival will further strengthen India’s playing XI. Rohit departed from Mumbai for Australia, with his wife Ritika Sajdeh accompanying him to the airport. Before his departure, she gave him a hug.

Rohit Sharma’s Biggest Concern

Once Rohit Sharma reaches Australia, he will take over the captaincy of Team India for the second Test. However, his biggest concern will be deciding where to place KL Rahul in the batting order. In Rohit’s absence, KL Rahul opened the batting for India and put up an impressive performance in the first Test. The question now is whether it would be a good decision to change the position of KL Rahul, who has returned to form after a long time.
