Graeme Smith, born on 1 February 1981, is a former South African cricketer and now a cricket commentator. He played for South Africa in all formats of the game. In 2003, at just 22 years old, he became the youngest captain of South Africa’s national cricket team, taking over from Shaun Pollock. Smith remained the Test captain until he retired in 2014. He played 102 Test matches, and during his time as captain, he led South Africa to 54 Test victories, making him one of the country’s greatest-ever captains.

His highest score in a Test match was 277, and he scored 27 Test centuries.

Besides playing for the national team, Smith played for domestic teams like Gauteng, Western Province, Cape Cobras, and overseas teams such as Hampshire, Somerset, and Surrey. He also participated in the Indian Premier League (IPL), playing for Rajasthan Royals and Pune Warriors India. Smith’s net worth is estimated at around $20 million.
