IPL Governing Committee has announced the rules for retentions ahead of the IPL 2025 Mega Auction. According to the latest rules, each team can retain 5 capped and 1 uncapped player. Teams can also use RTM if they do not retain all 6 players. For example, if a team has retained 4 players then it could use RTM for 2 players in the auction.
