Washington Sundar Called Up

Washington Sundar, the star all-rounder, has been included in the squad for the last two Test matches against New Zealand. Sundar last played a Test match for India in 2021, marking his return to the Indian Test team after a long hiatus. He has played 4 Test matches so far, scoring three half-centuries in six innings with an impressive average of 66.25, along with taking 6 wickets.

Century in Ranji Trophy

Currently, Washington Sundar is participating in a Ranji Trophy match between Tamil Nadu and Delhi in the Elite Group D. He delivered a remarkable performance, scoring a century in the first innings, which is his first first-class century in the past seven years. Batting at number three, he scored 152 runs off 269 balls, hitting 19 fours and 1 six. Additionally, he also took two wickets in the first innings against Delhi.

Sundar recently had the opportunity to play in a T20 series against Bangladesh and was also part of the ODI team during the Sri Lanka tour. In total, he has played 22 ODIs and 52 T20 matches for Team India. In ODIs, he has taken 23 wickets and scored 315 runs, while in T20s, he has claimed 47 wickets and contributed 161 runs with the bat.
