Sundar last played a Test match for India in 2021, marking his return to the Indian Test team after a long hiatus. Currently, Washington Sundar is participating in a Ranji Trophy match between Tamil Nadu and Delhi in the Elite Group D. He delivered a remarkable performance, scoring a century in the first innings, which is his first first-class century in the past seven years. Batting at number three, he scored 152 runs off 269 balls, hitting 19 fours and 1 six. Additionally, he also took two wickets in the first innings against Delhi.
