India Will Not Go to Pakistan for Champions Trophy; Know Where the Matches Will Take Place

Big news has come out about the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, which is planned to be held in Pakistan next year. The Indian government has not yet approved the Indian cricket team’s visit to Pakistan. This could create more problems for both the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and the International Cricket Council (ICC).

Due to these issues, the PCB has agreed to hold the tournament in a hybrid model. According to a PTI report, India will play all of their matches in the UAE. These matches could be played in either Dubai or Sharjah.

The main concern for India’s visit to Pakistan is security. Because of this, the Indian government does not want to take any risks. A PCB source stated that if India’s government does not permit their team to travel, the PCB is ready for a hybrid model where India plays in the UAE.

The Champions Trophy will be played from February to March next year. Reports say it will start on 19th February, and the final will be on 9th March. According to The Express Tribune, an ICC team will visit Lahore from 10th to 12th November to check all the preparations. The schedule might be released during this visit on 11th November.

Group A includes India, Pakistan, New Zealand, and Bangladesh, while Group B has England, South Africa, Australia, and Afghanistan. The tournament will have 15 matches, including the final, and will be played at three venues: Lahore, Karachi, and Rawalpindi.
